For years, I followed the traditional path to success—got my MBA, landed a good corporate job, and checked all the right boxes. But deep down, I felt stuck. I wanted change but didn’t know what was next.
 

Then the whispers started that our job was about to close. But instead of waiting to see what happened, I made the decision myself—I fired them first.
 

With no backup plan or safety net, just determination to control my destiny, my future, and my finances, I took a leap of faith. This was my chance to start fresh.

But let me tell you… It was hard, overwhelming, and scary.

How I Got Started (The Wrong Way)

I started selling insurance because it seemed like a smart move. Then, someone introduced me to being an insurance broker and running my own business. Suddenly, I was a business owner—but I didn’t have a clue what I was doing.

I pieced together advice from different people, learning bits and pieces here and there, but nothing was clear. I felt like I was trying to put a puzzle together without having the picture on the box.

And I started wrong.

I wasted time, money, and energy making mistakes that could have been avoided if I had just known the right way to do things from the start.

But through every misstep, I learned. I adjusted. I figured it out.

I went from feeling lost and overwhelmed to building multiple successful businesses, including Mr. Seafood Northeast and S.H.E. Dreams Consulting—where I now help other women start their businesses the right way.
